CreateNode()

This function is enabled by default, but can be disabled by setting configuration parameter "NXSL.EnableContainerFunctions".

Deprecated in 5.0.

Please use createNode() of Container, Collector or ServiceRoot class instead.

CreateNode(parent, name, primaryHostName, zoneUIN): xref:classes/node.adoc[]

Create node object.

Table 1. Parameters
parent	NetObj	Parent object: container, collector, facility, power domain, cooling zone, room, or infrastructure service root. Other object types cause a runtime error.
name	String	Name for new node
primaryHostName	String	Primary host name for new node (optional; node name is used if omitted or empty)
zoneUIN	Integer	zone UIN (optional, default 0)

Return

New node object or null on failure. If the new object cannot be linked to the parent, it is deleted and null is returned.
