Other Unix-like Platforms
This page covers building the NetXMS agent from source on Unix-like platforms other than Linux and macOS, including FreeBSD, NetBSD, OpenBSD, AIX, and Solaris.
| Pre-built agent packages for many platforms are available with a NetXMS support subscription. |
Building the Agent from Source
Download the source tarball from the NetXMS download page and extract it, then build:
./configure --enable-release-build --with-agent
make
sudo make install
On FreeBSD, the default configuration file location is /usr/local/etc/nxagentd.conf.
On other platforms, check ./configure --help for the default paths or use --prefix to set the installation directory.
After installation, create the agent configuration file and set MasterServers to point to your NetXMS server address.
See Agent Configuration for details.
